You really know you're in Australia when you hear their distinctive 'laugh'.Identity Design Ltdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03551377870498484077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1737272448240695582.post-47271828984187979982013-07-14T12:26:33.299+12:002013-07-14T12:26:33.299+12:001st time I've heard of a Tui. As we live in a quiet dead end street now we get a lot more birds here compared to our previous home which was on a main road. We had kookaburras around laughing at us this morning.Tony McGurkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01168120451733643474noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1737272448240695582.post-64026879754154593222013-06-24T13:47:06.577+12:002013-06-24T13:47:06.577+12:00I didn't know what a Baltimore Oriole was so I...I didn't know what a Baltimore Oriole was so I just Googled it and found a picture of what you described about what your brother does, with a piece of orange on a stick. I must try that.
See here: http://theriverwhisperer.blogspot.co.nz/2012/06/birds-of-french-broad-river-park.html
They're a great looking bird. Very striking with its vivid orange and black colouring.
Thanks for commenting Charles.Identity Design Ltdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03551377870498484077noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1737272448240695582.post-41189416304005477732013-06-24T13:19:59.892+12:002013-06-24T13:19:59.892+12:00Nice. He has nice pics of Baltimore Oriole landing & eating from it. He takes lots of bird pics, as his backyard is also planted for nature.Charleshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12618723432153716563noreply@blogger.com
